who is kaishaku?

In my experience it is usual to know those you interact with online. This has become much less common and by some practically prohibited.

I mean to use the following as an introduction to kaishaku the gamer and developer for those also interested in the game we plan to develop.

details

The chronology does not show that I spent the most time playing Muds, followed by Nintendo and multiplayer FPS. I always wanted to play more pen and paper RPGs, and still do, but circumstances have always made that very difficult in one way or another. When I did play I was always the GM, but really just wanted to play.

I started playing muds about 8 years ago in college and developed my own extensive ROM derivative around 6 years ago which included clans, area takeovers and defense as well as an ascii map and wilderness, the snippets for which are still being implemented by Diku developers.

I have played muds for thousands of hours. I spent many of those playing the Australian mud Dragon Realms, before trying Carrion Fields for a short time afterward. Dragon Realms closed and Carrion Fields is disappointing. Some other current muds are promising but are unfortunately dismissed due to one or more common problems.

I will not concentrate the same amount of time playing any game again.

quirks

I love music and nature.

I long for community.

I like e-mail and mailing lists.

I generally dislike TV news and newspapers.

I connect with Paul Graham and Dean Allen.
